It is said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. If I had to back that up I would turn to Vacheron Constantin for my Exhibit A. Their minimal dials, stripped of all non-essentials, are still absolutely captivating. Of course I'm only talking about the aesthetic styling. In this piece the simplicity of the dial fronts the complexity of the movement, which can tell you the time both by sight and sound, and is thankfully viewable from the reverse.
