This site is something of a gallery: a pictorial tribute to the high quality creations that have advanced the art, science and history of horology; as well as the personalities who created them, and the designers and image makers who portray them so desirably. For the most part, I prefer to let these pieces speak for themselves.

Audemars Piguet - Royal Oak by Gérald Genta
When I first began 'collecting' watches (in picture form) I thought the Royal Oak was plain and boring. But now, having seen the rest, I consider it to be pure covetable gorgeousness and badly want the steel/silver dial 15400 for myself. This watch is two years older than I am but it seems to be ageing much better. Gérald Genta is rightly as much of an icon as his most famous creation.
Time and watches has an excellent article on the history of the Royal Oak, which you can find here.
